ProMedica offers telehealth services, providing you more convenient ways to get the care you need. Through telemedicine visits, both new and existing patients are able to connect to providers in more than 30 specialties by Smartphone, tablet or computer.
A telemedicine visit is just like an in-person visit, but through a secure video app within MyChart. You’ll still receive the same thorough care that you would if you were at your provider’s office.
Call your ProMedica provider to discuss the reason for your visit. They’ll make sure that an in-person visit isn’t necessary and determine if a telephone visit or video visit is best for you.
Log in to ProMedica MyChart up to seven days before your telephone or video visit to complete your registration. If you don’t have a MyChart account yet, your provider’s office will help you get set up.
For a video visit, log on at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. For a telephone visit, your provider will give you a call at the scheduled time.
Connecting to your ProMedica MyChart Video Visit is easy as 1-2-3. Download these instructions for step-by-step directions on how to download the proper software, complete your eCheck-in and registration, and connect with your provider for your scheduled call.
Many clinical concerns can be completely addressed through video visit. This may include routine and follow-up visits as well as post-operative care.
Call your ProMedica Physicians provider today to inquire if a MyChart video visit would be appropriate for your next appointment.
More than 200 ProMedica Physicians providers are currently offering video visits. This includes primary care providers as well as specialists.
Some of the specialties currently available:
Contact your ProMedica Physicians provider to ask about your telemed options for your next visit.
Video visits offer the same level of care as in-person visits and are billed as regular office visits. Contact your insurance provider if you have questions about insurance coverage and the cost of these visits.
If your provider decides you need a prescription during your telephone or video visit, they can send a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. Similar to in-person visits, the cost of these prescriptions are not covered as part of your video visit.
A ProMedica MyChart account is required for a video visit, but not for a telephone visit. If you do not currently have a MyChart account, but wish to sign up for one, your provider’s office can help you when you make an appointment.
We highly recommend activating your ProMedica MyChart account even if you will be having a telephone visit; that way you are already set if a future video visit is scheduled. Through your MyChart account you can view lab results, request a prescription refill and message your provider easily and securely from the website or app.
Yes, your visit will be part of your electronic health record. A summary of your visit will also be provided to you through ProMedica MyChart.
